My husband and I went into the city to one of the big flea markets today and braved the heat in our endless quest for new used movies. On VHS we found: Family Plot, Marathon Man, Polyester, The Conversation, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Black Samurai, Communion, Klute, Mystery Train, The Yakuza, Mean Streets, Frenzy, Under the Rainbow, Night of the Comet, Executive Action, The Hit, The Comfort of Strangers, The Hidden, and Alice Sweet Alice.
I love buying VHS because they're so cheap I can just grab everything my heart desires. The dude we bought most of them from tried to convince me that VHS lasts longer than DVD. He's a funny old dude; once he tried to get me to believe he used to be the drummer for Charlie Rich.
On DVD we picked up: Xanadu, Conan the Barbarian, The Bad News Bears Breaking Training, Ringu 2, Tai Chi Master, The Sure Thing, and Valley Girl.
Now the only problem I have is: what the heck do I watch first?
