Are you going to see this?

I'm so excited, I'm a big fan of the series, and I get excited whenever I see a  TV spot commercial.

It looks like it will revamp the series and definitely make up for the terrible last entry in the series.

Just look at this review from Blood Disgusting:

“When a franchise enters its (rare) fifth incarnation, most studios will pound the calculator, check the numbers, and half-ass out sequel after sequel until the opening weekend box office numbers fail to meet their expectations. The sole plan is to “milk” the fan out of as much money as they possibly can, which is what The Final Destination felt like back in ‘09. Simply put, it was garbage. It became a self-referencing, meta-machine bloated with cheesy kills as a device to move the movie from scene to scene.

I don’t know how or where the change occurred, but all of a sudden the people behind the Final Destination films realized that the fans deserve WAY better, and decided to take the fifth film deadpan serious. Using the words “fourth sequel” and “serious” in the same breath may seem laughable from where you’re sitting, but I implore you to see for yourself.

If I owned a film school, Final Destination 5 would be a required watch. It’s the kind of movie that would make Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense, proud. It’s a lesson to filmmakers on how to build tension so tight that it’s shocking no viewer had brain hemorrhaging”

I am exceedingly excited about this! I have loved them all but the fifth one (I don't know why but I generally tend to not like third instalments lol) but this one seems great. I loved FD4 and hope this one can take the game a bit further.

I just saw it tonight in 3D, it was amazing!! Definitely my favorite of the series. I loved the build up to some of the deaths and it had great suspense. It was also the goriest by far lol. Oh and I loved the twist, my whole theater gasped at the "twist" scene.

Glad you enjoyed it, Corey! I've heard good things so far. Can't wait to go and see it myself this weekend.

I've read mixed reviews, but I definitely want to see it. I suppose at some point I should get around to watching FD4 though, I never saw it.

You definitely should do. I thought FD 4 was awesome. I'm a big fan of all the movies, so the fifth one I'm really looking forward to. Unfortunately it doesn't come out there till the 26th, proper gutted about that. I presumed the date for release would be same for both the UK and US. Oh well, not long to wait. :)

FD4 was acutally pretty good, but it got slammed with negative reviews. It was surely the best since the original.

I thought so too. I'm quite shocked it got bad reviews... people really don';t know a good thing when they see it.
